The Borror Laboratory of Bioacoustics (BLB) is a research and service unit of the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University. It is located in the OSU Museum of Biological Diversity.
The BLB houses one of the largest collections of recorded animal sounds in the world. Founded by the late Dr. Donald Borror, Professor of Entomology and Zoology at The Ohio State University, the collection contains over 30,000 recordings of over 1400 species of animals.
Our collection of bird recordings is available for listening at OhioLINK, the Ohio Library and Information Network. This is an ongoing project, and additional items from our collection will be added to the site in the future. To obtain permission to use these recordings, contact the lab at the address or phone number below.
